Frequently asked questions for your stay

Food & Dining

Yes! Our private chef is available throughout your stay. Breakfast is included in your booking, and we have a menu for lunch, dinner and snacks, charged per dish.

Absolutely. Our chef is happy to discuss dietary requirements, preferences and allergies, and adapt meals wherever possible. Please share these with us before arrival so we can prepare for your stay.

For Families

Yes, we can arrange babysitting with trusted babysitters who regularly help families staying at the villa. Please give us as much notice as possible before arrival so we can check availability and make arrangements.

Yes, we have cots, two high chairs and toys for our younger guests. Please let us know what you’ll need before arrival so everything is ready for you.

Our portable high chairs can also go out with you to restaurants — handy, as many local places don’t have their own.

The Villa

A villa host is on site during the day to look after you and help with anything you need. Once our hosts leave in the evening, a security guard stays on the property throughout the night.

Power cuts can occasionally happen in Sri Lanka, and scheduled interruptions sometimes last longer than expected. The villa has solar panels and battery backup to help keep essential services running.

During an extended outage, we ask guests to switch off air conditioning and unnecessary appliances, using fans and essential lighting instead. This helps preserve the battery for as long as possible. Our team will be on hand to guide you.

Mosquitoes are part of life in a tropical setting, particularly around sunset. Our team uses mosquito coils in outdoor areas in the evenings to help keep them at bay.

We recommend keeping doors closed from around 5 p.m. and leaving bedroom fans running at night to help deter mosquitoes. We also have mosquito nets for the cots.

Getting Around

Yes! We can help arrange transfers to and from The Nest Sri Lanka, including airport pickups. If you’re travelling around the country before or after your stay, we’re also happy to connect you with our trusted drivers for other parts of your trip.

Share your itinerary with us and we’ll help you work out the arrangements.

Hiriketiya is approximately four minutes away by tuk tuk. Our lovely neighbours are tuk tuk drivers, and the villa team can help arrange a ride whenever you’d like to head to the beach or out for a meal.
